Your pals at Joystiq – okay, fine, your tolerable near-nemeses at Joystiq – have secured a batch of Arkfall codes for Trion’s upcoming MMO, Defiance. These enable a bunch of in-game goodies once you start playing, so have at them!
Oh, and here’s how to use them:
- Go to Defiance.com/arkhunter and register to be an Ark Hunter or log in with your existing Trion account.
- Once you have signed up you can start entering codes and unlocking your rewards.
- Each time you find a new code go back to Defiance.com/game and select the‘MY EGO’ tab and enter your code.
- There are a total of 15 rewards to unlock.
- Your rewards will be granted in the game at launch.
Here are the codes:
This is the footage that we first saw at the Playstation 4 concept release but this now has a voice over that breaks down step by step how the main character ( Aiden Pearce) hacks the network that operates the city. The clip is entitled ctOS Threat Monitoring Report and explains what Pearce is hacking but that they seem unsure of how. It is also stated that they are aware of others in the system but we have little detail on how this will affect gameplay. Although we see nothing new this trailer makes me want to play this game that much more so nice work Ubisoft I’ll be looking forward to this one!!
Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas are one genre in the video game wheel house that has few contenders in comparison to say FPS. League of Legends is the reigning champ and few have been able to get in the ring with such a power house. DOTA2 has had the best success while attempts on the console have been laughable i.e. Guardians of Middle–earth. Not to say that there have not been many that have tried, some fan favored franchises like Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes, and others with a bit more character such as Awesomenauts and Super Monday Night Combat have been well received. Infinite Crisis brings the DC multiverse to the MOBA table. I hope that whatever they do to set themselves apart will be enough to make this not seem like a bad idea in hindsight. Will being able to battle as your favorite DC personalities be enough or do they have other twists on the gameplay that make it worthwhile?? as I like to say only time will tell, and as a comic fanboy at heart I wish them the best of luck.
GTRPrime attended the con this year with his family and was kind enough to share some pics from the weekend.
They have already announced that next years guests will include Michael Rooker and Norman Reedus from the wildly popular Walking Dead TV show. Also comic writer/creator Mike Mignola is on the docket so we’ll be looking foward to that next year the dates are set for April 4-6 2014.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is the new fighter from the creator of the Mortal Combat franchise. It has all the DC favorites from Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman to Lex Luther, the Joker, and Bane to name a few. The gameplay look like a Mortal Kombat game but set in familiar comic playgrounds such as the bat cave, and the fortress of solitude. I like that it also includes some of the supporting players in the DC universe that some times get overlooked like Cyborg, Hawkgirl, Raven, Nightwing, Deathstroke and I just read today that it looks like Black Adam will be a playable character as well. All in all I like everything that I’ve seen I only hope that they include fatalities or something similar I doubt that they call them that but it would be nice.
